(275 words) I.S. Turgenev is a Russian realist writer whose works do not lose their relevance to this day. In the novel “Fathers and Sons,” he touched on one very important and seemingly mundane topic: the conflict of fathers and sons. Is it possible to say that the “soil” of this kind of relationship is not shapeless, but quite tangible?
The main character is Evgeny Vasilievich Bazarov. He is trying in every possible way to resist the long-established traditions and traditions. If his desire to achieve recognition of the "correctness" of his views represents the "new generation", then Turgenev introduces the "father of the old generation" - Pavel Petrovich Kirsanov, who tries to dissuade young people from nihilistic ideas and speaks out in favor of the ideals of his time - the conservative noble the truth. In his opinion, it is necessary to recognize authorities and honor the laws rejected by Bazarov. Turgenev describes their disputes as if he had long known the outcome. So, for example, the dispute about the aristocracy was completely and completely lost by Eugene: he could not defend his position, denying everything, just to have some opportunity to be noticed. Kirsanov, on the contrary, clearly expresses himself and makes good arguments that "aristocracy is a principle." Indeed, if there weren’t a hint in our society of certain norms of behavior, complete chaos would begin, but by denying nature and art, a person will simply turn into a creature without feelings and without an idea of good and evil. But can it then be said that the "old generation" won?
The conflict between fathers and children is an eternal problem and has not yet been resolved. Turgenev, on the other hand, provided readers with the opportunity to compromise: respect the views of elders and understand the fact that young people are the future, and it is the whole society that stands behind them. It is not for nothing that the writer proves this by an example of Bazarov’s relationship with his parents: he is the same Evgeny with them, while for him his parents are respected and respectable people. This is the only way to achieve a "truce."
